ISLAMABAD: The United States has imposed a ban on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights after Europe.
The United States has also banned PIA flights after the European Union suspended PIA operations in 32 member countries and grounded Pakistani pilots, the US Department of Transportation said in a statement. ۔
The statement said that the special license of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been revoked and the arrival of PIA flights to the United States has been banned till further notice due to concerns over security arrangements for PIA flights.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the national airline confirmed the ban and said that the US Department of Transportation has informed about the ban on PIA flights through an email. Continuing his speech, he said that he would address the concerns of the United States and hoped that the issue of pilots would also be resolved through the ongoing reform process in the PIA.
