DUBAI: Several international airlines have suspended or cancelled flights to destinations across the Middle East amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran.
Air Canada has cancelled its flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai until October 24. Greece’s largest airline has suspended services to Dubai until August 31, while flights to Erbil and Baghdad will remain suspended until September 30.
Air France has halted flights to Beirut until August 2. Dutch carrier KLM has also suspended services to Riyadh, Dammam and Dubai until further notice.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific announced that it plans to resume flights to Dubai and Riyadh from September 1.
The flight disruptions come as airlines continue to reassess security risks in the region following the escalating US-Iran tensions.
