WASHINGTON: Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh inaugurated the Pak-USA Joint Business Conference and Expo 2025 in Virginia, highlighting the importance of economic collaboration in strengthening ties between Pakistan and the United States.
The event, organized by Brain Designer Pakistan and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industries in collaboration with the US Pakistan International Chamber of Commerce (USPICC), brought together business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to explore trade, investment, and commercial opportunities.
Ambassador Sheikh emphasized the potential of the U.S. market for Pakistani businesses and called for strategic adaptations to succeed in the dynamic American economy. He described the conference as a seed-sowing initiative aimed at cultivating long-term economic relations.
He encouraged Pakistani entrepreneurs to adopt formal business practices, form coalitions, and pool resources to meet the scale demanded by the U.S. market. The Embassy also committed to supporting businesses in refining their models to meet U.S. standards.
The expo featured Pakistani companies from sectors including tourism, real estate, textiles, furniture, leather goods, pharmaceuticals, and IT, providing a platform to expand their presence in the U.S. market.
The conference was recognized as a significant step in enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, particularly for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Participants included representatives from both Pakistan and the United States, including Earnie Porta, Mayor of Occoquan Town, who highlighted the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora to the U.S. economy.
During the event, Ambassador Sheikh visited exhibition stalls, interacted with the business community, and acknowledged the organizers for creating an opportunity to strengthen Pakistan’s business footprint in the United States.
