ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s auto sector has shown strong recovery, with a significant surge in vehicle sales recorded in April 2026.
According to latest data, car sales increased by 107 percent year-on-year during April, with a total of 22,015 units sold across the country — marking a record rise compared to the same period last year.
Overall, during the first 10 months of the fiscal year 2026, total car sales reached 166,000 units, reflecting a 49 percent increase.
The growth trend was also evident in the two- and three-wheeler segment. Sales of motorcycles and rickshaws stood at 190,340 units in April alone, showing a 40 percent annual increase.
Cumulatively, sales of motorcycles and three-wheelers crossed 1.62 million units during the 10-month period.
Industry analysts view this sharp rise as a positive indicator for Pakistan’s recovering economy, suggesting improved consumer confidence and increased market activity in the automotive sector.
