Bangladesh Take 156-Run Lead Against Pakistan

SYLHET: In the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Sylhet, Pakistan was all out for 232 runs in their first innings.

By the close of play on the third day, Bangladesh had reached 110 for 3, taking a lead of 156 runs.

Pakistan began their second day at 21 without loss, but both openers were soon dismissed. Azan Owais scored 13 and Abdullah Fazal made 9 runs. Captain Shan Masood fell for 21 at 61 for 3, followed by Saud Shakeel for 8 at 79 for 4.

Babar Azam played a notable innings of 68 before being dismissed at 142 for 5. Salman Ali Agha added 21 runs, and Mohammad Rizwan scored 13 at the fall of the seventh wicket for 174. Hasan Ali contributed 16 runs, Khurram Shehzad made 10, and Sajad Khan played an aggressive 38 off 28 balls to boost the total to 232.

Bangladesh’s Naheed Rana and Taijul Islam took three wickets each, while Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed two wickets apiece.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 278 in their first innings, with Litton Das shining with 126 runs. Pakistan’s Khurram Shehzad took four wickets, Mohammad Abbas three, Hasan Ali two, and Sajad Khan one.

By the end of the third day, Bangladesh held a 156-run lead with seven wickets in hand, putting Pakistan under pressure in the ongoing Sylhet Test.
