KARACHI: Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $17 million during the past week, according to official data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
The central bank stated that the total national reserves now stand at $21.3367 billion.
According to the breakdown, the State Bank’s reserves increased to $15.8674 billion, while commercial banks held reserves of $5.4693 billion.
The State Bank further reported that as of the week ending May 8, 2026, the slight increase of $17 million was recorded in official reserves.
Officials said the overall improvement reflects stable external inflows and ongoing financial management measures, while efforts continue to maintain macroeconomic stability.
