LAHORE: Under the government’s ongoing energy conservation campaign, cinemas across the city have been included in efficiency measures. According to new directives, all single-screen and multiplex cinemas in Lahore will operate their last show between 8 PM and 10 PM.
District administration officials in Punjab and the federal capital have instructed cinema owners to comply with the designated timings to ensure efficient energy use. The authorities emphasized strict implementation of the campaign to tackle the energy crisis and reduce electricity consumption.
Officials warned that violations of the new rules could lead to legal action under applicable laws. The measures are part of broader efforts to optimize national resources, reduce energy waste, and strengthen the government’s frugality and energy conservation policies.
