Youth must promote moral values in society: Alvi
Attends 31st convocation of the University of Karachi.
KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi here on Saturday stressed character building of students and urged graduating students to play their role in promotion of moral values.
Speaking as chief guest at the 31st convocation of the University of Karachi, the president said the youth of Pakistan have the potential to put the country on the path of prosperity and development.
He was of the view that humanity had reached the zenith of development through science and technology but there was moral degradation and we are losing our values.
Stressing the need for creating an environment of moral and ethical thinking and values, he said that moral and ethical values are promoted by parents, teachers, and the environment of society.
The president, who is also the chancellor of public universities, later awarded degrees, medals to the graduates and scholars.
