IHC extended the interim bail of Asif Zardari till January 28

 

Fake bank accounts cases: Islamabad High Court has extended the interim bail of former President Asif Ali Zardari till January 28 in a suspicious transaction case of Rs 8 billion. The court also ordered the formation of a medical board for Asif Zardari’s medical examination.

A two-member division bench comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard Asif Zardari’s bail application. On this occasion, the former president’s request for exemption from attendance on medical grounds was submitted. The court ordered the formation of a medical board for Asif Zardari’s medical examination, to which NAB and Asif Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naik agreed. The court also ordered that Asif Zardari’s medical report be submitted by January 28.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that there should be no such thing as previous reports of medical boards. It should be noted that the Chairman NAB has issued an arrest warrant for Asif Ali Zardari in this case.
