Iran Claims Strikes on U.S. Bases in Kuwait and Jordan

DUBAI: Iran says it has launched retaliatory strikes against U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan following a new wave of U.S. airstrikes on Iranian military targets.

Iranian officials claimed the attacks targeted military communications systems, radar installations, and fuel storage facilities at bases used by U.S. forces.

The United States confirmed carrying out fresh strikes against Iranian military infrastructure, saying the operation was aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities.

U.S. officials have not yet provided a full assessment of the damage caused by Iran’s reported retaliation.

Regional tensions remain high as Gulf countries strengthen air defenses and monitor the evolving security situation. Independent verification of Iran’s claims regarding the effectiveness of its strikes is still pending.

The latest exchange marks another significant escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns about wider instability across the Middle East.–Reuters
