ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described Pakistan and Iran as “inseparable partners in a shared future,” saying the two countries are not just neighbours but brotherly nations bound by deep historical, cultural, and civilizational ties.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday night, he said relations between Iran and Pakistan are rooted in centuries of shared traditions and mutual respect. He added that recent developments have further highlighted the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Iranian president praised Pakistan’s role in promoting dialogue and regional stability, saying Islamabad has consistently played a constructive part in efforts aimed at peace, development, and prosperity in the region.
He said the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding in Islamabad reflected mutual trust and a shared commitment to expanding cooperation in different fields. He also expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Pakistani government and people during his visit.
Pezeshkian further said that both countries are moving forward together to overcome regional challenges and work toward a prosperous and stable future.
