ISLAMABAD: Director General of Immigration and Passports has ordered effective action in coordination with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to eliminate agents and touts from passport offices across the country.
The directives were issued during an important online meeting of zonal heads chaired by the Director General, who instructed officials to transform passport offices into model facilities.
He also directed passport offices to prominently display awareness videos about the cashless fee payment system and banners regarding the home delivery service.
The Director General ordered officials to immediately contact applicants whose passports have not been collected and ensure their timely delivery. He also directed that passport renewal applications be processed on a priority basis.
The measures are aimed at improving services and ensuring greater transparency and convenience for passport applicants.
