GILGIT: The Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) has issued tickets to its candidates for the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan general elections.
According to party sources, 14 candidates received tickets with the approval of IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan. The party’s central General Secretary Mian Khalid Mehmood and Provincial President Rana Nazir Ahmad distributed the tickets.
The candidates expressed full confidence in IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan and vowed to work for public welfare, declaring it their guiding principle. The IPP has also formed an electoral alliance with Islami Tehreek Pakistan for the elections.
The party has nominated Maulana Sultan Rais for GBA-1 Gilgit, Fatahullah Khan for GBA-2 Gilgit, Captain (Retired) Muhammad Shafiq Khan for GBA-3 Gilgit, Iman Shah for GBA-6 Hunza, Raja Jalal Hussain for GBA-7 Skardu, Muhammad Khan Wazir for GBA-10 Roundu, Shams-ul-Haq for GBA-14 Astore, Haji Shah Baig for GBA-15 Diamer, and Advocate Atiqullah for GBA-16 Diamer.
Additionally, Haji Gulbar Khan has been nominated for GBA-18 Diamer, Atif Salman for GBA-19 Gizer, Khan Akbar Khan for GBA-20 Gizer, Jamila Khatoon for GBA-21 Gizer, and Raza-ul-Haq for GBA-22.
