Justice Ibrahim notified as acting PHC chief justice

Post vacant after retirement of Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan.

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim as the acting chief justice of Peshawar High Court after the retirement of Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan.

Following the approval, a notification was issued regarding the appointment of Justice Ibrahim as the acting chief justice of the IHC. The seat vacant on the retirement of Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan. Justice Khan had been appointed as the chief justice on August 22, 2023. 

According to the notification, Justice Ibrahim, who is the senior-most judge of the high court, will remain as the acting chief justice till the appointment of a permanent CJ by the Supreme Judicial Council.
