LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani singer Tariq Tafu, son of legendary tabla maestro Ustad Tafu, passed away in Lahore after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest, family sources confirmed.
According to relatives, Tafu’s health deteriorated abruptly, prompting his immediate transfer to a local hospital where he died during treatment. He was 58.
Tariq Tafu rose to fame with his popular Punjabi song “Lahore Lahore Ae,” which earned him widespread recognition and a loyal fan base.
He is survived by his wife, one son, and two daughters. His funeral prayers will be offered in Iqbal Town, after which he will be laid to rest at Shahenshah Graveyard.
