LAHORE: In a savage act, a man killed his wife along with his seven children in a village located in the Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh in Punjab.
Police in the area told media that the man used a sharp-edge device to kill the children and their mother in their sleep. The motive behind the gruesome act could not be known.
The police have arrested the man and investigating him. The victim children were aged from six months to 12 years.
Domestic violence is common in the province of Punjab. About a week back, a man shot dead his three minor daughters and committed suicide in Sargodha.
A few days before that incident, a youth shot dead his would-be brother-in-law and his wife and committed suicide in Samanabad area of Lahore.
