AJMER (INDIA): The Imam of a mosque in the Indian city of Ajmer in Rajasthan was killed by unknown persons on Monday, the local media reported.
They quoted people in the mosque as saying that the Imam, Muhammad Mahir, 30, was sitting in the mosque along with some seminary students when three masked men arrived and beat him to death.
The motive behind the murder of the prayer leader is yet to be known as police have registered a case and started the investigation.
