No Commitment on Nuclear Program: Revolutionary Guards

TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has dismissed recent claims by former US President Donald Trump, stating that no formal agreement or commitment has been made regarding Tehran’s nuclear program.

According to a report by Iran’s Fars News Agency, the IRGC termed Trump’s recent social media statements as “propaganda,” clarifying that the issue of Iran’s nuclear program has not even been discussed at the current stage of negotiations.

The statement noted that Trump had earlier indicated that any potential agreement with Iran would hinge on nuclear negotiations. However, Iranian authorities emphasized that no such assurances or commitments have been given by Tehran.

The IRGC further suggested that US officials themselves have, on several occasions, advised that Trump’s social media posts are often aimed at domestic political and media audiences and should not be taken as definitive policy positions.

The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts and indirect talks between Iran and the United States, where multiple regional and security issues remain under discussion, but no confirmed agreement has yet been finalized.
