ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with an 11-member Chinese business delegation led by the founder and president of IBI United Technology, Qian Xiaojun, at the Prime Minister’s House on Thursday.

Welcoming the delegation, the prime minister said Pakistan and China share long-standing historic relations and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to further expanding bilateral economic and business cooperation.

The prime minister welcomed IBI Group’s decision to establish its digital economy headquarters in Pakistan, calling it a positive step that would help promote investment, industrial cooperation, and technological development in the country.

Qian Xiaojun said the company is keen to support digital reforms in Pakistan’s economy and facilitate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing access to Chinese markets. He added that establishing a digital economy headquarters in Pakistan would create new opportunities for business growth and cooperation.

The delegation’s visit follows the Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference held during the prime minister’s visit to Beijing in September 2025.
