Airspace Ban on Indian Airlines

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace to Indian aircraft for another month, with the restriction now remaining in force until August 24, 2026.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), following government approval, issued a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) stating that aircraft registered in India or operated by Indian airlines will continue to be barred from using Pakistani airspace.

According to the NOTAM, the restrictions will remain effective until August 24, during which all Indian aircraft will be prohibited from transiting Pakistan’s airspace.

Pakistan first closed its airspace to Indian aircraft on April 23, 2025. The latest notification extends the existing restrictions by an additional month.
