ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the Pakistani armed forces have given a “strong and coordinated response” to recent acts of aggression by India.
The statement came during a series of phone conversations with President Asif Ali Zardari, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, and other political leaders.
The briefed the country’s top political figures on the current security situation and Pakistan’s retaliatory measures in response to Indian missile and drone attacks.
“Despite India’s unprovoked aggression, Pakistan demonstrated utmost restraint,” the Prime Minister said. He emphasized that the armed forces responded decisively to repeated violations by Indian forces.
Shehbaz Sharif further revealed that Pakistan’s retaliatory operation, specifically targeted Indian military installations that were identified as the source of attacks on Pakistan.
He assured political leaders that Pakistan remains committed to defending its sovereignty and maintaining national unity in the face of external threats.
