Pakistan Qualifies for Semi-Finals of Street Child World Cup

LAHORE: Pakistan’s Street Child Football Team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Street Child World Cup 2026 after an impressive winning streak in the group stage matches held in Mexico.

According to details, the Under-16 tournament features teams from 30 countries. Pakistan delivered outstanding performances by winning all four of its group matches, defeating Indonesia, host nation Mexico, Russia, and Wales.

With this strong performance, Pakistan has advanced to the semi-finals, where it is scheduled to face Brazil for a place in the final.

The tournament brings together street-connected children from around the world and focuses on highlighting their rights, protection, and inclusion through sports and education initiatives. It is organized under the global platform supported by the charity organization Muslim Hands, which uses sports as a tool for education and social change.

The Pakistani squad is also expected to participate in events at the United Nations General Assembly as part of the broader campaign linked to the tournament.

It is worth noting that Pakistan previously secured a silver medal in the Street Child Football World Cup held in Qatar in 2022, marking another significant achievement in its youth football journey.

The current squad includes players Abdullah, Mubashir Shah, Muhammad Hamad, Nadeem Hussain, Muhammad Mustafa, Muhammad Isa, Shahid Anjum, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Bilal, and Muhammad Ibrahim.
