Passport Offices to Open Only Four Days a Week: DG

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced a change in the working hours of passport offices nationwide.

Under the new schedule, all passport offices will now remain open Monday through Thursday each week.

Officials clarified that regional passport offices operating 24/7 will continue their regular operations, and the shift system at the Islamabad Easy Service Center will remain unchanged. The revised schedule has been approved by the Director General of Immigration and Passports.

The announcement comes as part of a broader austerity drive that also includes the closure of educational institutions from March 16 to 31, revised office hours for government and private offices, and a reduction in fuel allocations for government officials.

Passport applicants are advised to plan their visits according to the new timetable to avoid inconvenience.
