PCB Announces Squad for Women’s T20 World Cup

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member national squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the tri-series in Ireland. Fatima Sana will lead the team.

Five players—Aimen Fatima, Natalia Parvez, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen, and Tasmiya Rabab—will be making their T20 World Cup debuts.

The team will participate in the tri-series in Ireland from May 28 to June 4, which will also feature hosts Ireland and the West Indies.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign on June 14 against India in Birmingham. Other group matches will be played against South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia, and the Netherlands. The semi-finals are scheduled for June 30 and July 2, with the final taking place at Lord’s on July 5.

Fatima Sana will captain Pakistan for the second consecutive time, marking her third Women’s T20 World Cup. The squad features a mix of experienced and young players. Pakistan Women recently whitewashed Zimbabwe in a T20 series, boosting confidence ahead of the World Cup.
