PM Shehbaz distributes cheques among rain victims

Says Pakistan stands with people of Kashmir for their struggle for self-determination.

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday visited Azad Kashmir and distributed compensation cheques among people affected by the recent rains.

Addressing a gathering of people in Muzaffarabad, he said the government would make all out efforts to rehabilitate the areas across Pakistan damaged by the recent rains and snowfall.

He on the occasion said that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for their basic right to self-determination.

The Prime Minister also assured Pakistan’s unconditional support to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the Kashmir cause.

Speaking on the occasion, AJK Prime Minister Anwarul Haq said the visit of Mr Sharif to express solidarity with the Kashmiris, affected by torrential rains, reflected that hearts of Pakistani people always throb with their Kashmiri brethren.
