Political leaders oppose attacking food chains in Gaza solidarity

ISLAMABAD: Senior leaders of Pakistan’s major political parties have condemned recent attacks on international food chains carried out in the name of solidarity with Palestinians, calling such actions harmful to national interests.

Speaking in a TV program, representatives from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) unanimously agreed that attacking global food franchises is not only illegal but also damaging to Pakistan’s economy and international reputation.

The leaders emphasized that while expressing support for the Palestinian people is important, it must not come at the cost of peace and order within the country.

These statements come in the wake of recent incidents in various cities where individuals vandalized international food outlets. Authorities have since arrested dozens of suspects allegedly involved in the attacks.

Analysts believe this unified stance by political leadership is a positive step toward promoting public awareness and encouraging peaceful forms of protest.
