PTI told to hand over “terrorists” in 24 hours

LAHORE: The caretaker Punjab government on Wednesday alleged that arson attackers, including those involved in storming the Lahore corps commander house, were hiding in Zaman Park residence of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Information Minister Amir Mir told media that technical and intelligence information had also been received through geo-fencing that confirmed these allegations.

“That is why the PTI leadership is being requested that hand over these terrorists. The Punjab government is giving the PTI leadership 24 hours to hand over the terrorists, who were involved in attacks on military installations and are seeking refuge in Zaman Park, to Punjab police,” he said.

He said the agencies investigating the cases were in possession of the evidence regarding their involvement in the attacks.

The minister said it had been decided that all those elements would be tried in military courts. He said 3400 suspects have been arrested in as many as 254 cases and identification of others was in progress.

He said now police have been given a free hand and if anyone tried to target state property in future, they would not be able to flee even if they ran faster than PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry.
