SHO killed during raid to arrest killers of teacher

Four brothers shot dead in Quetta

GAHKUCH (GB): A police officer was martyred in the line of duty while trying to apprehend  suspects in the murder case of a teacher. 

Niat Amin, a government schoolteacher and resident of Bhatrit village, was shot dead while returning home from school on a bike a few days ago.

Over the murder, the residents of Dahimal  staged a sit-in blocking the Shandur-Gilgit road, demanding arrest of of the culprits. 

The locals said in a tip-off SHO of Gupis police station Muhammad Alam led a team of police to raid a house in Bhatrit village in Gupis where the alleged killers were hiding.

However, when the police reached the hideout, the suspects opened fire from inside the house, killing the SHO on the spot.

The deceased was a resident of Diamer district.

Meanwhile, GB Chief Minister Gulbar Khan orders probe and seeks a report in the incident.
