The government dropped a petrol bomb on New Year’s Eve

 

New Year’s gift to the people, the government further increased the price of petrol and LPG. The prices of petroleum products have been increased by Rs 3.95 per liter. Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved it.

According to the notification, petrol price has been increased by Rs 2.31 per liter and diesel by Rs 1.80 per liter. The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 3.36 per liter while the price of light diesel has been increased by Rs 3.95 per liter. OGRA had recommended an increase in the price of petrol by Rs 10.68 per liter and diesel by Rs 8.37 per liter.

On the other hand, OGRA also issued a notification to increase the price of LPG by Rs 16 per kg. Now, on the first day of the new year, the public will get LPG at Rs 147 per kg and domestic cylinder at Rs 1,740. People are saying that even in 2020, inflation has kept them alive, it seems that there will be no relief in 2021 either.
