WASHINGTON: A US Congressman, Jake Bergman, has sent a letter of appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, praising their leadership in facilitating diplomatic engagement efforts.
According to the letter, the Congressman acknowledged Pakistan’s role in encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran, describing it as a sign of “strategic wisdom and effective statecraft.”
He further stated that Pakistan has played a constructive role in regional diplomacy by utilizing its unique position to promote negotiations and reduce tensions.
The US lawmaker also highlighted the importance of strong US–Pakistan relations, describing them as strategically significant, and expressed his intention to visit Pakistan soon to further strengthen bilateral ties.
