RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced strict legal action against foreign nationals who remain in the Kingdom after the expiration of their visas.
According to a statement issued by the ministry on Monday, individuals who fail to leave Saudi Arabia within the permitted period after their visa expires will face penalties under the country’s laws. The penalties may include fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals, imprisonment for up to six months, followed by deportation.
The ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia is strictly enforcing its immigration regulations and will not tolerate violations of residency, labor, or border security laws. It urged all foreign residents and visitors to monitor their visa validity, depart the Kingdom on time, and comply fully with Saudi laws to avoid legal consequences.
Authorities have also provided channels for reporting violations. Residents can report cases in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province by calling 911, while reports from other regions of the Kingdom can be made through 999.
