PORT OF SPAIN: West Indies were bowled out for 344 runs in their first innings against Pakistan in the second Test in Port of Spain.
Justin Greaves top-scored with a composed 73, while captain Roston Chase made a valuable 70. Brandon King contributed 46, with Shai Hope scoring 29 and Amir Jangoo adding 26.
Pakistan’s off-spinner Sajid Khan led the bowling attack with an impressive four-wicket haul. Ubaid Shah, Mohammad Ali and Ali Usman claimed two wickets each.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan captain Babar Azam said at the toss that he would also have preferred to bat first had his side won. He added that the team was confident and aimed to play positive cricket.
West Indies captain Roston Chase, meanwhile, said his side wanted to turn home conditions into a strong advantage and therefore made no changes to the playing XI.
West Indies currently lead the two-match Test series 1-0. Pakistan must win the second Test to level the series.
