ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has instructed the government to take all possible measures to reduce inflation, ensure the availability of essential goods, and provide relief to the common citizen.
According to an official statement from the Presidency, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarrar, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, and Dr. Asim.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the overall national situation, matters related to Afghanistan, and the evolving regional dynamics. The participants also paid tribute to the martyrs of the “Ma’raka-e-Haq” and appreciated the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces, reaffirming an unwavering commitment to national defense.
President Zardari emphasized that despite challenging geopolitical conditions, tensions in the Middle East, and disruptions in supply chains, maximum relief should be provided to the people.
He directed that steps be taken to ease the burden of inflation, ensure the availability of essential commodities, and provide tangible relief to the general public.
