13 parties delisted for not holding intra-party election

ECP accepts poll results of JUI-F and Pakistan Muslim League Jinnah and issues them symbols.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday announced that it has delisted as many as 13 political parties for their failure hold intra-party election.

The commission announced its reserved judgment regarding intra-party polls of various political parties.

It however accepted the results of the intra-party election of two political parties and allotted them the symbols. These two parties are: the JUI-F and Pakistan Muslim League Jinnah.

The delisted political parties included All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, All Pakistan Tehreek, Awami Party Pakistan, Pakistan Aman Council and Sabka Pakistan party.

Under the election rules and political parties act, every political party is required to hold intra-party election and submit the details to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
