ISLAMABAD: In a significant political move, 28 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly have resigned from parliamentary committees.
According to reports, the resignations have been submitted to the Speaker’s office.
Additionally, six PTI members have stepped down from their committee chairmanships. The members who resigned from chair positions include Junaid Akbar, Amir Dogar, Sanaullah Masti Khel, Dr. Ziauddin, Javed Iqbal, and Haji Imtiaz Ahmed.
With the latest resignations, the total number of PTI lawmakers who have stepped down from committee membership has reached 47.
This development comes following instructions from PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who recently directed party members to resign from parliamentary committees as part of the party’s ongoing political strategy.
