RAWALPINDI: Security Forces killed a total of 34 terrorists during intelligence-based operations conducted in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing stated that security forces intensified intelligence-based operations against what it described as Indian-backed militant groups “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
On February 24, security forces killed 26 militants in four separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a separate operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan, eight militants belonging to “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed.
An infiltration attempt near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan was foiled. During the border operation, one militant—confirmed to be an Afghan national—was killed.
In Lakki Marwat, three militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation. In Bannu’s Narmi Khel area, 10 militants were killed in two separate encounters. In Mir Ali, North Waziristan, 12 militants were killed following action based on intelligence reports.
Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
