375 Petrol Pumps Shut in Lahore as Dealers’ Strike Begins

LAHORE: Fuel sales were suspended at 375 petrol pumps across Lahore on Wednesday after the Petroleum Dealers Association began a strike over unresolved issues with the government.

Lahore Petroleum Dealers Association President Jehangir Malik said all 375 member-operated petrol pumps in the city would remain closed during the strike.

However, around 150 petrol stations directly operated by oil marketing companies remained open, allowing motorists to continue purchasing petrol and diesel.

Authorities said they were monitoring the situation to prevent major fuel shortages and minimise inconvenience to the public.
