ATTOCK: Though the hearing of PTI chairman Imran Khan’s bail application in cipher case was fixed for hearing in Islamabad High Court on Monday (today), the administration of the district jail of Attock expressed its inability to bring him to Islamabad.
The jail officials stated in a communication that it would not be possible for them to arrange the shifting of the jailed former prime to the federal capital due to security concerns.
The jail officials instead sought exemption for Imran Khan from personally appearing in the court for the hearing of the case.
The IHC registrar’s office had issued the cause list and the PTI chairman’s bail application is scheduled for hearing by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.
The PTI Chairman Imran Khan was sent to jail on August 5 following his conviction in the Toshakhana case.
