Australia can benefit from Pakistani skilled labors, says PM’s aide

High commissioner informed that there is immense potential of Pakistani skilled workers to work in Australia.

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Jawad Sohrab Malik held a meeting with Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins in Islamabad on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways and means to enhance cooperation and explore avenues to exchange skilled labour and workforce between the two countries.

In a statement issued on Friday, the prime minister’s special assistant said that during the meeting he requested the Australian high commissioner to take advantage of the skilled professionals in Pakistan to enhance labour mobility and bolster productivity in his country.

He said that he also highlighted the immense potential of Pakistani skilled workers to work in Australia.

The two sides also held discussion on ways to explore possibility of setting up centers of excellence within the technical and vocational education and training sectors of both the countries.
