Over 200 killed in Israeli bombing on UN school in Gaza

Victims include students and displaced people taking shelter in school at Jalaba camp.

GAZA: At least 200 people have been killed in the latest Israeli bombardment – this time on a UN school – in the besieged enclave of Gaza.

The UN aid agencies confirmed that the Israel dropped bombs on a UN school located at the Jabala camp today, killing over 200 people. The dead included students and displaced people who had taken shelter there.

Palestinian officials also said that Israel carried out air strike in a residential area at Jabala camp and killed at least 32 people, including 19 children, belonging to same family.

Moreover, the Israeli forces are still laying siege to the Al-Shifa hospital and carrying out a search operation but so far they have not found any indication of a Hamas tunnel beneath it.

“Dead bodies are everywhere and medical teams are trying to evacuate the wounded,” according o a report by Al Jazeera. It said with the continuing fighting amid Israel’s ground offensive into northern Gaza, many Palestinians had been forced to flee to UN-run schools in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital for protection.

“People taking shelter at al-Fakhoora School in Jabalia refugee camp, many with medical issues thought they could find shelter from the violence there. But the Israeli army seems to be sending a message: Flee to the south of the Gaza Strip.”
