ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad on Thursday suspended the perpetual warrants for the arrest of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, sons of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, in two corruption cases.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana earlier had reserved judgement on their applications and later announced that the arrest warrants stood suspended.
The applications on behalf of the two accused were filed by their counsel Misbahul Hassan and Rana Irfan, stating that the two were coming to Pakistan on March 12 and the warrants may be suspended. The perpetual arrest warrants were issued against them in Avenfield and Flag Ship corruption cases about seven years ago.
