ISLAMABAD: A delegation from European Union, led by its special envoy Frans van Daele met Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq here on Saturday.
The two sides discussed matters related to bilateral ties in different fields. Talking to the delegation, the speaker said that Pakistan attaches high value to its relations with the European Union and was committed to transforming this bond into a robust strategic partnership.
Ayaz Sadiq said that economic ties between Pakistan and EU had seen a phenomenal growth in recent years and mentioned the G-Plus status as one of the major contributors.
He on this occasion also urged the international community to recognize the blatant human rights violations being committed in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and Gaza.
The EU special envoy said the European Union was keen to enhance multilateral cooperation with Pakistan and continue supporting Pakistan in its pursuit of increasing its export.
