ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s strategic capabilities are meant to defend its sovereignty and preserve peace and stability in South Asia as the country had never intended any ill will towards any country such as the US.
This was stated by Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch in reference to an official statement of the US government as regard to a recent US decision to impose more ban on Pakistan’s missile program along with three companies.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said Pakistan had never had any ill intention towards the United States in any form or manner. She said the US official had alluded to bracketing Pakistan with those who were perceived to be the adversaries of America.
“Pakistan has always sought to engage constructively with US on all issues, including the need to pursue a balanced approach to security and stability in the region. We have a long history of cooperation and wish to build on this strong legacy,” said the spokesperson for the Foreign Office.
