KARACHI: Pakistan is unlikely to be included in the list of new expected US travel restrictions, it has been learnt.

A final announcement in this regard is expected on March 13, with 12 countries likely to remain under the travel ban. However, Pakistani diplomatic staff and leading figures in the United States are optimistic that Pakistan would not be included in the new list for restriction to enter the US.

Diplomatic sources on the condition of anonymity said that the Indian-American lobby had been very actively involved in making toxic propaganda against Pakistan. Moreover, a group of Pakistani-American doctors was also allegedly conspiring.

Recently, after the arrest and extradition of a dangerous terrorist wanted by the United States in Pakistan, there has been a lot of closeness between the Trump administration and the Pakistani establishment.
