Actress Files Case After Drama Shooting Disruption
LAHORE: Renowned actress and director Sangeeta has filed a case after unknown individuals disrupted the shooting of her upcoming drama Bulleh Shah.
During a press conference at Lahore Press Club, she revealed that while filming, her set was attacked by unidentified assailants who threatened and harassed the cast.
Sangeeta, who has worked in the industry for over 50 years, described how armed individuals tried to intimidate her team. Actress Saima was held hostage on set for two hours. Sangeeta confirmed that an FIR had been filed at Sherakot Police Station against the attackers. Actor Nauman Ijaz, who was part of the drama, decided not to continue due to the disturbing situation.
Director Syed Noor also expressed his frustration, stating that despite providing entertainment, the industry faces such threats. He mentioned that Saima had bravely confronted the situation and warned that the film industry is fighting a tough battle.
