BARCELONA: Former Minister of State Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal said overseas Pakistanis are the nation’s pride and resolving their issues remains a key priority for the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).

He was speaking at a reception hosted by Wajid Sohail of Noor Jamal at the Cordoba Restaurant in Barcelona, attended by community leaders, businessmen, youth, and other distinguished guests.

He praised expatriates for earning respect through their sacrifices and hard work, noting that PML-N leadership, particularly Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, has always taken practical measures for their welfare.

Urging the youth to adopt honesty, hard work, and self-respect, he stressed the importance of preserving cultural values and community ties. He also reminded them of the sacrifices made by families to send their children abroad, sacrifices that “must never be forgotten.”

Highlighting time management and community service as keys to success, he expressed hope that Pakistan would develop systems in health, education, and transport comparable to those in Europe.

Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal reaffirmed PML-N’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of overseas Pakistanis. The event concluded with the presentation of flowers and gifts to the guest of honor, followed by prayers and thanks.
