RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has asked over 10,000 office-bearers of the party to gather at Adiala Jail next week.
During a media talk, she said that 10,000 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officials will now sit there for the party’s founder. She added that the call has been made specifically for PTI, stressing that there is a need to put pressure on the government to ensure that the party founder is shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Aleema Khan stated that pressure must also be exerted on the government and relevant institutions. She further claimed that pressure is also needed on the judiciary, alleging that judges are also “playing a role” in the matter.
According to her, once PTI increases pressure, the cases involving the party founder and Bushra Bibi will be heard. She added that PTI is urging judges to hear bail petitions, while judges have said they will proceed with appeals.
She also claimed that the government itself is spreading rumors about a possible deal, while PTI has no contact with anyone and sees no need for negotiations.
She said that the party founder has assigned the responsibility of dialogue to Akhunzada Chattan and Allama Nasir, while Sohail Afridi will lead the street movement.
She said that Sohail Afridi is preparing and developments will soon become clear. She added that the situation is expected to intensify, which is why PTI has issued the call to its office-bearers.
