All set for overseas Pakistanis convention in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A convention of overseas Pakistanis will be held at the Convention Centre in Islamabad from April 13 to 15, with participation from key government officials, institutions, and dignitaries.

The formal opening session of the convention will take place on April 14, with Senate Chairman as the chief guest. A special briefing will also be presented by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

According to the official schedule, meetings will be held with SIFC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, and NADRA.

Side meetings involving the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), State Bank of Pakistan, and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are also scheduled.

To celebrate the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, a cultural food festival and folk music night will be organized at Lok Virsa.

On the evening of April 14, the Chief of Army Staff will host a dinner in honour of the participants. He will also address the convention on April 15.

Additionally, a special documentary video will be screened by ISPR on the same day. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to attend the convention on April 15 and host a dinner for the delegates.
