TEL AVIV: A large protest rally was held in Tel Aviv against the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with demonstrators demanding an immediate end to ongoing wars and military operations.
Protesters gathered in central Tel Aviv carrying placards with slogans calling for “Stop the war” and “End the genocide,” urging the government to change its current military policies. The rally reflected growing public dissatisfaction over the prolonged conflict situation and its human and political costs.
In a strong political reaction, former Israeli Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan stated that it is time for Netanyahu and his government to step down, adding that the leadership is under pressure and aware that the objectives of the war have not been achieved.
The demonstration comes amid increasing domestic debate in Israel over the direction of government policy and the continuation of military engagements in the region.
