KARACHI: Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic record holder and gold medalist, clinched the gold medal for the second consecutive time at the 35th National Games.
Representing WAPDA, Nadeem threw the javelin a remarkable 81.81 meters in the men’s javelin throw event, securing first place and further solidifying his dominance in the sport.
His closest competitor, Yasir Sultan, also from WAPDA, earned the silver medal with a throw of 70.77 meters. Sultan had previously won a silver medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games. Meanwhile, Mohammad Abrar, representing the Pakistan Army, took the bronze medal with a throw of 68.67 meters.
Arshad Nadeem’s victory at the 35th National Games marks a successful defense of his title, having won the gold medal at the 34th National Games in Quetta last year with a throw of 78.01 meters. His performance highlights not only his exceptional skill but also his consistent excellence on the national level.
